Tailor-made holidays: You don’t need to find the holiday first
If the right holiday already exists, we’ll find it. If it doesn’t, we’ll put it together around you.
Most people start planning a holiday by searching for one. With Auria Travel you can start with an idea instead: where you would like to go, who is travelling, roughly when, and what you want the trip to feel like.
Auria Travel is an independent UK travel agency, and our travel professionals plan holidays in two ways. Where a tour operator or a cruise line already has a holiday that fits, we find it and book it for you. Where nothing ready-made fits, we put a tailor-made holiday together around your brief, from the flights, places to stay, transfers and experiences that suit you.
Either way the starting point is the same. You tell us what you have in mind, and we work out the best way to make it happen.
Built around you
A tailor-made holiday begins with your brief. We start from what you have told us and bring together the parts that suit it, so that the holiday fits you rather than the other way round.
What goes into it depends on the trip. Some need only two or three of these; others need most of them.
- Flights
- The airline, the airport and the times that work for you, with connections and stopovers where a journey needs them.
- Places to stay
- Hotels, villas, lodges or camps, chosen for where they are and what they are like, and a different style in each place if you want one.
- Getting around
- Transfers to and from the airport, and the journeys between one stop and the next: by road, by rail, by air or with a hire car.
- Experiences
- The things you want the trip to include, from a guided day out or a game drive to a table booked for a special evening.
- More than one place
- Two or three destinations in one trip, with the order, the nights in each and the travel between them worked out for you.
- A cruise or a tour
- A stay before or after a cruise, extra nights around an escorted tour, or a few days by the sea to finish.
You do not have to arrive with a route worked out. A rough idea is enough to begin with, and the details can follow. If you already have a place in mind, our destination pages show what we can arrange there.

When the right holiday already exists
Tailor-made is not automatically the better answer.
Tour operators and cruise lines put a great deal of experience into the holidays they sell. An escorted tour with a guide who knows the country, a cruise with its itinerary already worked out or a week at a resort that suits you perfectly may be exactly what you are looking for. When it is, we will say so, and we will find it and book it for you.
Sometimes the best answer is a little of both: an established holiday with the flights that suit you, or a few extra nights added at the start or the end. What matters to us is that the holiday is right for you, not which kind it turns out to be.

How it works
From a first idea to the day you travel, in four steps.
Tell us what you have in mind
Where you would like to go, who is travelling, roughly when and the budget you have in mind. A rough idea is fine, and so is “not sure yet”.
We find or put together the right options
We look at what already exists and at what we could put together for you, and come back with options that fit your brief and your budget.
We refine the details with you
Change the flights, swap a hotel, add a night or take one away. We adjust the plan until it is the holiday you want, then look after the booking.
You travel
Everything is arranged before you go, and we are there to answer your questions before you travel.
You deal with one person from the first conversation onwards: one of our travel professionals at our store in Ashby-de-la-Zouch, or one of our Travel Partners around the UK.
Where it makes the difference
Some holidays are simple to book. Others have more parts to them, and those are the ones where planning around a brief helps most.

Multi-centre journeys
Two or three places in one trip: a city and then a coast, or a stopover on the way to somewhere further. We work out the order, the nights in each place and the travel between them.

Safari and beach
Days on safari followed by time on the coast is a classic pairing, and one with a lot of choices in it: which parks, which camps and how the flights connect.

A cruise with a stay
The cruise comes from the cruise line. Around it we can add the flights to join the ship, a few nights in the port before you sail or a stay on land after you return.

Fly-drive itineraries
Flights, a hire car and somewhere to stay each night along a route you choose, at a pace that suits you, with as much or as little planned in advance as you like.

A tour, then time to relax
An escorted tour shows you a country with a guide who knows it. A few nights added at the start, or somewhere quiet at the end, give the holiday room to breathe.

Family and celebration trips
Several rooms, different ages, a birthday or an anniversary to plan around. When a trip has to work for everyone, it helps to have the details chosen to fit.
These are examples, not a list. If your idea does not look like any of them, tell us about it anyway.
Tell us what you have in mind
If you already know what you are looking for, send us your brief and we will come back to you with a quote. If you would rather talk it through first, book a time and we will call you, or come and see us in store.
