All Inclusive
Why Choose an All-Inclusive Holiday?
An all-inclusive holiday wraps your accommodation, meals, drinks and often a good deal of entertainment into one price, agreed before you travel. Once you arrive there is very little left to pay for, which makes the holiday easy to budget for and even easier to relax into.
All-inclusive suits families, couples and groups of friends alike, and it covers far more than one style of resort: large, lively hotels with several restaurants, quiet adult-only retreats and small boutique places all offer it. What “all-inclusive” covers does vary, though, and that is where an independent UK travel agency like Auria can help.

What does all-inclusive usually include?

Every hotel sets its own terms, but most all-inclusive stays cover the following.
- Meals
- Breakfast, lunch and dinner, usually in a main buffet restaurant, with snacks available between meals.
- Drinks
- Soft drinks, beer, wine and spirits, normally local brands and served between set hours.
- Speciality restaurants
- Many resorts include a set number of evenings in their à la carte restaurants. Others charge a supplement, and popular tables may need booking.
- Activities and entertainment
- Pools, daytime activities, evening shows and non-motorised water sports such as kayaks or paddleboards are often part of the price.
- Children’s clubs
- Family resorts usually include supervised clubs for different age groups, with set opening hours.
- What often costs extra
- Premium drinks, spa treatments, motorised water sports, excursions and sometimes room service or the minibar.
We can help you check what is and is not included at a particular hotel before you book, so there are no surprises when you arrive.
A holiday you can budget for
The appeal of all-inclusive is simple: you know what the holiday will cost before you leave home. With meals and drinks already covered, a family can say yes to another ice cream, and a couple can order a second cocktail, without anyone keeping a running total.
It also takes decisions out of the day. There is no need to find somewhere new for every meal or to carry cash to the pool, which is one reason all-inclusive works so well for a first holiday abroad, for travelling with children and for anyone who simply wants to switch off.

Choosing the right resort
Two all-inclusive hotels can feel very different. A few questions help narrow the choice.
- Who is it for?
- Some resorts are built around families, with splash parks and children’s clubs. Others are for adults only, and many sit somewhere in between.
- Size and atmosphere
- A large resort brings more restaurants, pools and entertainment. A smaller hotel is usually quieter and more personal.
- Food and drink
- Look at the number of restaurants, how often you can use the à la carte ones and whether branded drinks are included or cost extra.
- Location
- A resort on a good beach with everything on site suits a stay-put holiday. If you like to explore, check how easy it is to get out and about.
- Premium options
- Many hotels offer an upgraded package, sometimes called premium or ultra all-inclusive, with extras such as branded drinks, more dining choice or a private lounge.
Where can you go all-inclusive?
Closer to home, Spain and its islands, Greece, Turkey, Cyprus and Egypt all have a wide choice of all-inclusive hotels, most within about four or five hours’ flying time of the UK.
Further afield, all-inclusive is the natural way to holiday in much of the Caribbean and Mexico, where large beachfront resorts are designed around it. It is also a popular choice in the Maldives and Mauritius, where your resort is often the only place to eat nearby.

How Auria can help
Auria Travel is an independent UK travel agency. Tell us who is travelling, when you would like to go, which airport suits you and what matters most, and our travel professionals will look for the resort that fits. Very often the best answer is a ready-made holiday from one of the tour operators we work with, with the flights, transfers and hotel already arranged around each other. If the hotel, dates or airport you want do not come that way, we can put the holiday together for you.
We look after the booking and are there to answer questions before you travel.
