Since my first voyage in 2022, I've cruised many times and I’ve helped countless first-timers (and seasoned sailors) discover the joy of cruising.

My Favourite Places

Norwegian Fjords

The Norwegian fjords are truly one of the most breathtaking places I’ve ever experienced. The landscapes are on a scale that’s hard to describe – towering cliffs, glassy water, and waterfalls that seem to appear from nowhere. There’s a quiet majesty to it all that makes you feel completely at peace. I love how untouched and pure the scenery is, with little villages tucked into the hillsides and snow-capped peaks in the distance. Whether you're cruising through the water, hiking to a viewpoint, or simply watching the mist roll in, there's something deeply calming and humbling about being there. It’s a place that invites you to slow down, connect with nature, and really take in the moment. I always leave feeling refreshed, inspired, and eager to return.

MadeiRa

Madeira is one of those destinations that completely took me by surprise. It's incredibly lush and green, with dramatic cliffs, volcanic landscapes, and gardens bursting with colour. I love how you can be walking along a peaceful levada trail one minute and then looking out over the ocean from a mountaintop the next. The island has a calm, timeless feel, with charming villages, friendly locals, and a mild climate that makes it feel like spring all year round. The food is fantastic too – fresh seafood, tropical fruits, and the famous Madeira wine. What I love most is how connected to nature it feels. It’s the kind of place that clears your mind, lifts your spirits, and stays with you long after you’ve left.

Canada

Canada is a place that completely captures my sense of adventure. Its vastness is awe-inspiring – from the rugged Rocky Mountains and turquoise lakes to vibrant cities and endless forests. I love how each region has its own character, whether it’s the laid-back charm of the west coast, the French flair of Quebec, or the warm hospitality you find everywhere. There’s a real connection to nature that I find grounding, whether I’m exploring national parks, spotting wildlife, or simply breathing in the crisp, fresh air. The scenery is jaw-dropping, but it’s also the people, the culture, and the quiet moments that make Canada feel so special. It’s a country I’d go back to in a heartbeat.
