The article outlines the company's aims to ‘throw away the old homeworker rule book’
Here’s the essence of the story.
Auria Travel has unveiled ambitious plans to build a nationwide network of self-employed homeworkers alongside the launch of its first high street agency in Ashby-de-la-Zouch. Founded by Markus Kendall-Young, the start-up aims to combine a traditional bricks-and-mortar presence with online operations and a flexible homeworking model.
Positioning itself as a challenger brand, Auria Travel says it is “throwing away the homeworker rule book” by removing restrictive policies and unnecessary red tape. The new travel partner initiative is designed to empower experienced agents with at least six months’ industry experience and an existing client base, giving them the freedom to grow their own businesses under the Auria Travel brand.
The company offers a transparent commission structure rising to 80% as sales increase, with commission paid six weeks before departure to improve cash flow. Partners can use dynamic packaging without source fees, forced mark-ups or supplier restrictions, and are free to leave at any time while retaining earned commission.
Support includes a reservations system, Microsoft 365 tools, branded email, dedicated phone lines, marketing backing, mentoring, and fair access to fam trips and training. Auria Travel joined Protected Trust Services shortly after launching in May.
With a background spanning Thomas Cook, Hays Travel, Travel Counsellors, aviation, sales and marketing, Kendall-Young says the goal is to create a culture of fairness, flexibility and genuine independence, positioning travel partners as business owners rather than simply agents within a larger machine.
